BRIJITTE WEST is quite a famous name in the music world. She is, especially, well noted in the punk rock world. She grew up the 11th of 12 children and she was determined to make her 'mark in the world'.
She was the front woman for the 1990's band NY Loose which was known for their classic song, "Spit". She decided to do a solo e.p. during the lockdown of the Covid virus during 2020.
Brijitte wrote and performed all of the 6 songs on this e.p. and it was Produced by Thomas & Sword and Mastered by Anthony LaMonde. CAN YOU TALK kicks off this E.P. with some superb lyrics and very cool guitar work.
The storyline is great and it's about texting someone you never met and might want to build it into a real relationship. Then reality sets in!
LIE TO ME is about a relationship gone bad and just needing someone that you once was close to. You can fantasize as much as you want, but you know it's not real. Close your eyes and dream away. Also, this song was one of her solo hits.
PALE BLUE EYES is her acoustic version of the Velvet Underground song. PRETTY SUICIDE is quite a tragic story about a New York office worker that jumped off the The Empire State Building .
